Want a really cool looking Nintendo DS? A new cobalt/black DS has just been announced and as you can see from the picture above, it looks awesome. It will be released on February 10th, so you only have 9 more days to wait. I’m happy with my white one, but if you don’t own one yet, this one would be a great buy.
If you like playing Nintendo DS games online, there’s a new one out there for you. Exit. It’s a pretty fun game if you’ve never played it before. The controls can be a little confusing at first but you’ll figure it out. Here are some hints; if you want your character to do something just click on him first, then the object. Also, to get on the ladder, you have to click towards the bottom of it. That part took me awhile. I might just be dumb though.
The Nintendo Wii and the DS were the two best selling video game systems in US according to data provided by the NPD group. With about 8.5 millions Nintendo DS’s sold, it was easily the top selling U.S. gaming system of 2007. The Nintendo Wii followed closely behind in second with about 6.3 millions consoles sold.
Nintendo of America’s executive vice president of sales & marketing, Cammie Dunaway stated “By the end of 2007 we were sold out of virtually all hardware, and much of our stock of software and accessories was sold out as well.” Now just imagine how much Nintendo would have sold had they have more Nintendo Wii’s in stock.
Nintendo has released a list of the games that they expect to release this year for both the Nintendo Wii and the DS. There will be more than 65 new games for the Wii just in the first half of the year. Some of the more notable title’s in this list are Super Smash Bros. Brawl, No More Heroes, Mario Kart Wii, Ninja Gaiden Dragon Sword, and Wii Fit. Check out this massive list and see when the games you are waiting for are coming. Keep in mind that this is not a full list of games coming this year.

Myst, the very popular point-and-click game made famous on the PC has received an upgrade and will be coming to the Nintendo DS here in the US. The game will include enhanced environments and re-mastered video. You’ll now also have some tools at your exposal along with the ability to take pictures of hints along the way to make your puzzle solving much easier. If you’re interested, you should be able to find it on store shelves in March.

Capcom has announced that Ace Attorney: Apollo Justice will be coming soon to North America. The game is scheduled for release on February 12, 2008 on the Nintendo DS, but what’s really cool is that a demo is also coming.
There will be a Flash demo that can be played online at www.Capcom-Unity.com and www.Ace-Attorney.com. I’ve looked around both sites, and it doesn’t seem to be there yet, but Capcom stated that it would be online sometime this month. You can also download the demo to your Nintendo DS via wi-fi from Nintendo Stations, if you know where any are.
If you’ve never played a game in the Ace Attorney series, you should definitely try out the demo and see what it’s about.
Some box-art scans of Assassin’s Creed on the Nintendo DS have many people excited that the game will actually hit the portable scene. It hasn’t been confirmed if these are real shots of the box art but according to retailer listings and Nintendo’s 2008 release list, even if the photos are fake, the game is indeed coming to the DS.
Reggie Fils-Aime has announced that Nintendo has plans to give the Nintendo DS the functionality to download full games via download. He also mentioned that the Wii and DS will have a lot more interplatform functionality. This will probably be something similar to the Playstation 3 and PSP, where you can dowload something on the PS3 and transfer it over to the PSP. This should make DS owners very happy.
