No New Games This Week on XBLA, But…

Doom

I know you look forward to the new releases on Xbox Live Arcade every Wednesday, but just because you aren’t getting new games this week, doesn’t mean you aren’t getting anything. This week you can pick up both Assault Heroes and Doom for half of what they normally cost. From 800 Microsoft points to 400. Now that isn’t a bad deal at all.

Access to Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix Beta, If…

Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD

Thats if, you buy the upcoming Xbox Live Arcade game, Wolf of the Battlefield: Commando 3. It only costs 800 Microsoft points, and everyone likes to be a part of a beta test. Especially for such a cool game. The beta will run for about 8 weeks so that gives you enough time to run it through it’s paces. You can expect to see Commando 3 on XBLA sometime in the Spring.

XBLA Wednesday Releases

There will be two new games available for download on Xbox Live Arcade this Wednesday.

Brain Challenge

Brain Challenge is just like it sounds. You’ll be putting your brain to the test on this one, with various mini-games that challenge your memory, logic, math skills, and more. You’ll be able to pick this one up for 800 Microsoft points.

Bliss Island

Bliss Island, from Codemasters is a weird one. You take control of Zwoomph and the goal of the game is to use the wind to direct objects into the mouths of various other creatures. It’s all yours for 400 Microsoft points.

Xbox Live Arcade Limiting Bionic Commando

Bionic Commando

Yes, it’s true. Again, the file size limits that Xbox Live Arcade has is limiting games again. This time it’s Bionic Commando. Both the PS3 and the PC versions will have high-res textures, but due to the 150MB limit, the Xbox 360 version won’t. Why don’t they just loosen up these restrictions already?
