Playstation Store Update: Demo Edition

Fatal Inertia

The update this week is actually pretty good. You can download Fatal Inertia EX for $30, there’s add-on content for Hot Shots Golf, Metal Gear Solid 4, The Incredible Hulk, Guitar Hero III, and Rock Band.

Then, there are four demos, which should keep you busy this weekend. First off, you have the chance to play Fatal Inertia EX before you decide to buy it. Then there’s demos for NCAA Football 09, Wolf of the Battlefield: Commando 3, and Hail to the Chimp.

There are also a bunch of game videos as usual, one blu-ray video, a PS3 theme, and some game music. Finally, there are also a few things for the PSP, such as a full game; Gurumin: A Monstrous Adventure, a demo for Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror, some game videos and a theme. If you want the complete details, visit the Playstation Blog.

Playstation Store Update: Quake Wars Edition

Again, there isn’t much but there still is some good stuff this week. You can pick up Syphon Filter 3 from the PS1 for $5.99, and there some add-on content for Army of Two, Guitar Hero III, and Rock Band. There’s also a demo for Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars, which I’m excited to play. The rest of the stuff consists of a bunch of game videos, a blu-ray trailer, and two PS3 Themes.

For the PSP, you can purchase full games of Syphon Filter Dark Mirror and Syphon Filter 3 and you can download a free theme, wallpaper and some game music. Visit the Playstation Blog for complete details.

Playstation Store Update: Qore Version

Qore PS Store

According to the Playstation Blog there’s a hefty update coming, but it’s not here yet, at the time I’m writing this anyway. The big thing is probably the Qore Digital Magazine, which is Sony’s way of charging users for “exclusive” content such as demos, betas and more. There will also be a couple of downloadable games, which are Wolf of the Battlefield: Commando 3 and Novastrike for $9.99 each.

There there is the add-on game content for Guitar Hero III consisting of the Motorhead track pack and the free God of War song. On top of that you have the Disturbed and Jimmy Buffett tracks for Rock Band along with a bunch of discounted songs.

There will be three demos this week; Civilization Revolution, Battlefield: Bad Company and Nascar 09. There are also a ton of game videos, a PS3 Theme, and some game music.

Playstation Store Update

Top Spin

Another week, another PS Store update. Not a very good one either. This week you can pick up the entire debut album from the Cars on Rock Band for $14.99 or each song individually if you like too. There are also discounts on a song from Lynyrd Skynyrd and All-American Rejects.

For game videos, you can watch stuff from Top Spin, Battlefield Bad Company, Dead Space, Project Origin, and Quake Wars. There are a couple of blu-ray trailers and PS3 wallpapers as well.

Playstation Store Update

Pixeljunk Monsters

Not a lot on the Playstation Store this week. There isn’t even anything to play. All of those European tracks for Rock Band is available now though. You can also download the PixelJunk Monsters album for $2.99, if you’re one of those hardcore videogame music junkies. On top of that though, there are some game videos, movie trailers and a couple of PS3 themes. Very dull indeed.

There are a few goodies for the PSP though. You can download the full game of The Con, and there are two demos for Hot Shots Golf with varying difficulties. The other stuff consists of a few game videos, game music, and a PSP wallpaper. Yay!

Playstation Store Update

Haze Artwork

Not a whole lot up there this week, but there are some good demos. You’ll most definitely want to try the Haze demo and The Bourne Conspiracy demo. Maybe you’ll even give the GRID demo a chance.

You can also pick up Rocketman: Axis of Evil for $9.99. For add-on content, you’ve got an expansion pack for PixelJunk Monsters and new tracks for Rock Band and Guitar Hero III. There’s a buttload of game videos too as well as some movie trailers, PS3 themes and wallpapers. For all the details, visit the Playstation Blog.

Playstation Store Update

echochrome

Another fun-filled Playstation Store update. The big download this week is echochrome. Have you tried the demo yet? It was a bit hard for me, but I’m a dummy. Anyway, there’s also some add-ons for Rock Band and Karaoke Revolution Presents: American Idol Encore, a demo for Dark Sector, a whole bunch of game videos and some new wallpapers. If you want the full details, hit up the “Featured Section” of the Playstation Store or visit the Playstation Blog.

Playstation Store Update

echochrome

The Playstation Store has lots more stuff for you again this week. Some real good stuff actually. You can get R-TYPE 1 and 2 bundled for only $5.99, and there’s a whole lot of add-ons, including the Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare map pack and the full Judas Priest “Screaming for Vengeance” album for Rock Band.

On top of all this is the echochrome demo and Iron Man demo. All of this stuff should keep you fairly busy until next week when the big releases come out. Oh, and there are a bunch of game videos too, such as for PROTOTYPE, GT5 Prologue, and Resistance 2. If you want all the details, check out the listing on the Playstation Blog.

The Playstation Store is Back!

Gran Turismo 5 Prologue

The Playstation Store has been redesigned and will start to receive weekly updates once again. Starting today. There’s a crap load of stuff this week, since the store has to catch up with everything from the weeks of past.

The main attraction is Gran Turismo 5 Prologue for $39.99, but there’s also some downloadable content for Warhawk, Rock Band, Super Stardust HD, and Lair as well as some new Themes. Only one demo this week though; UEFA EURO 2008 Demo. There are also a bunch of game videos and blu-ray trailers. Check out the Playstation Blog for complete details.

New Playstation Store is Live

The old crappy, barely usable Playstation Store is gone, and in it’s place is shiny, new one. The v2.30 firmware update is now available and the update Playstation Store comes with it. I’m on the bus right now, so I haven’t seen it yet, but you can bet your ass I’m heading straight to the PS3 when I get home.
