Ok, so when the game was first announced last month, Mortal Kombat vs. DC was thought to contain no fatalities. Which many people weren’t very fond of, because you know, that’s the biggest draw to the Mortal Kombat franchise. Well, Midway has now stated that the game will have “milder” fatalities. Their goal is to push the boundaries of a T-rated game. How far they can really push that though is another question. I still think it sucks.
I was a bit skeptical about Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe when it was announced but after watching the trailer, I’m beginning to think this game might turn out OK after all. Take a look.
As I was anxiously waiting the big news from the Noob.com website, elsewhere around the net, the news was already revealed. According to Mortal Kombat Online, a source from Midway has confirmed that Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe will be the next game in the Mortal Kombat series.
Also, according to an Midway employee who worked on the game, Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe will not contain any fatalities and very small amount, if any, blood. FAIL! I haven’t purchased a Mortal Kombat game since Mortal Kombat 3, because they all sucked after that one so if they expect me to purchase this one because it has DC characters in it, they are wrong. No blood in a Mortal Kombat game? C’mon! This game better be kick-ass if they want me to consider it.
Anyway, since Midway has not yet officially announced any of this news publicly, I’ll hold my thoughts, but it sounds very true.
Nobody decoded the message hidden in the various numbers on the home page of Noob.com so we just had to wait. The countdown is over and the big announcement is… nothing. Nothing yet anyway. I’ve been refreshing the page for the last half hour. Did they forget to update it? Bastards.
