I didn’t know that Doom 3 did well enough to warrant another game in the Doom series. Actually it probably didn’t, but the Doom name is so popular that the series will probably just keep going on no matter how sales go. Anyway, id Software announced that Doom 4 is currently in the works and they’re accepting applications now to fill the team required to complete the game.
Kevin Cloud, id Software lead artist already thinks very highly of the new cross platform engine, stating “You don’t even have to worry about how it’s going to look on PS3 or 360. Right now we’ve got it running cross-platform running 60 hertz, and it looks really good.” Now I really want to see what this game has to offer.
