The Nintendo Wii and the DS were the two best selling video game systems in US according to data provided by the NPD group. With about 8.5 millions Nintendo DS’s sold, it was easily the top selling U.S. gaming system of 2007. The Nintendo Wii followed closely behind in second with about 6.3 millions consoles sold.
Nintendo of America’s executive vice president of sales & marketing, Cammie Dunaway stated “By the end of 2007 we were sold out of virtually all hardware, and much of our stock of software and accessories was sold out as well.” Now just imagine how much Nintendo would have sold had they have more Nintendo Wii’s in stock.
