Looks like if you are a subscriber to the Official Xbox Magazine and you own Rock Band, you are in luck. Next months issue’s disc is reported to have three exclusive tracks for the game. Check ’em out and see if you’re interested.
There are rumors on the net right now that Metal Gear Solid will be coming to the Xbox 360 a little over a year after the PS3 version comes out. As of right now, the PS3 version is scheduled to be released in the second quarter of 2008, so if you are waiting for it to show up on the 360, you go a long time to wait.
Don’t forget that Metal Slug 3 will be available as an Xbox Live Arcade release today for 800 Microsoft points.
There are three more songs for Rock Band that will be available this week on the Xbox Live Marketplace and the Playstation Store. You can expect to find them on the PS3 on Thursday though. You can pick them up for 160 Microsoft points on the Xbox or $1.99 on the Playstation Network. Check out the list of songs below. “Made famous by” means that it is a cover song of the original.
Hudson Entertainment has announced that they will be holding the “Bomberman LIVE New Year’s Bash Tournament & Sweepstakes” in the U.S, which will begin at 5am PST January 6th and end at 9am PST on January 13th. You can register now though.
The goal of this contest is to get the most frags on the “Weekly Ranked Friendly Fire Leaderboard”. The new mode is available only by downloading the “Bomb-Up Pack 3” add-on pack for Bomberman LIVE from Xbox Live Marketplace. The top prize for this contest is 100,000 Microsoft Points.
Microsoft has just announced that they will be bringing the very fun, but short, Metal Slug 3 to Xbox Live Arcade this coming Wednesday. This run and gun action packed game will also come with updated HD graphics and co-operative multiplayer over Xbox Live. You can expect to pick it up for 800 Microsoft points.
Harmonix and MTV Games have provided some special holiday content for you today. There are five new tracks available and as a holiday gift, there are discounted at a price of $0.99 each. You can get these right now if you are an Xbox 360 owner, but you have to wait until next week if you are a PS3 owner because Sony’s offices are closed for the holidays. That sucks. I want the original version of Rez really bad, but I just can’t get myself to throw down $50 for this old of a game. I know I’ll do it eventually though. If you don’t want the original, or want both, check out the HD version coming out for the Xbox 360.
Sensible World of Soccer has been repaired and is back on Xbox Live Arcade. If you downloaded the broken version of the game, you can delete that one and reinstall the new one.
